Religlaw Beta Version Launched - Preliminary Instructions

Welcome to the test version of the new religlaw.org site.  We are pleased to offer this new site and hope to have it running smoothly soon. We would appreciate your help in expanding our document collection, and we thank you for your patience as we continue to develop the site.  Please let us know if you have any problems, suggestions, or questions about anything here. We look forward to receiving your input on how we can make this database more useful and accessible.

Following is a brief introduction to using basic features of the site.  If you have problems with this process, please consult the User Guides in the lefthand navigation bar, or send us comments and queries.

1. To search for documents, simply click on the "Search Database" tab at the top of your screen. This search function is a simple search designed for our test version of the site. An advanced search option will be forthcoming. Please send us suggestions about both the basic search and the planned advanced search.

2.  To input documents, you will need to create a username. Please click on the "Create User Account" tab at the top right portion of your screen and follow the instructions.  You will be prompted to create a username and password. The username and password are case sensitive, and you will need them every time you want to log in and submit a document.

3.  To submit a document, click on the "Submit a Document" tab at the top right portion of your screen. Follow the instructions on the screen as carefully as possible, keeping in mind that the more information you can give us for each document, the more accessible the document will be to others searching for information.

4. To submit a court case, please until further notice send the appropriate document as an attachment to an e-mail message to the Web Content Manager at iclrsddt@gmail.com.  We are refining the case submission process.  When we are finished, we will post quick instructions here and detailed instructions for direct submission under the "Submit a Case" tab in the Online User Guides on this site.

5. To submit an item of interest to readers of the site, please click the "Suggest News Item" link at the top right of the News page and follow the instructions.  Note that you may also submit a document to accompany your item.

6.  To send a comment, ask a question or report a problem, please click the "Give Feedback" link at the top right of each page of this site. The more detailed your description of the problem, suggestion, or issue, the more quickly and comprehensively we will be able to address it.

7. The FAQ section is in development.  Please send questions that you feel would be helpful to add to this section.

8.  Watch for our Join the Discussion forum, coming soon.

9.  Special instructions for typing non-English characters can be found at the Keyboard Helps link in the Online User Guides.

Thank you again for your help and for your patience! We appreciate the association that we have with each of you and look forward to working with you more closely in the future.
