Nigeria: Muslim Students Protest Ban of Hijab in Lagos Schools

Scores of Muslim Students on Thursday stormed the office of the Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babatunde Fashola to protest the alleged banning of Muslim students from wearing Hijab in public schools, saying it is a victimisation of their religion.

The protesters led by Assistant -General Secretary, Muslim Students Society (MSS), Mr. Zhikirul-lahi Sulaiman brandished placards with inscriptions including 'Hijab is our right", "Stop this Hijabophobia" blocked the entrance to the office of the governor.
