Egypt's National Salvation Front condemned on Sunday the violence that occurred on Friday at the Muslim Brotherhood's headquarters in Cairo's Mokattam district.

The front reaffirmed its commitment to peaceful demonstration and denounced all forms of violence against citizens, party headquarters, public facilities and media institutions.

Clashes flared up last Friday at the Muslim Brotherhood's headquarters, leaving more than 200 injured.

The front demands immediate, independent investigations in the violence at the Brotherhood's headquarters, the front said in a statement.

It also denounced the statement of the brotherhood's secretary general on Saturday in which he described all opponents of the brotherhood as thugs.

The front warned against the "vicious attack" senior government and presidency officials and the Muslim Brotherhood launched against the media.
