David Barstow is executive director and board president of EMPACT Africa, an organization that trains local church leaders in sub-Saharan Africa to fight the stigma against AIDS. A computer scientist turned AIDS activist, he is the author of HIV and AIDS in 2030: A Choice Between Two Futures (2019).

Dr. John Blevins is acting director and associate research professor of Emory University's Interfaith Health Program. He has an interdisciplinary background in practical theology and public health program development, and has worked on a variety of global health initiatives.

Dr. Renier Koegelenberg plays many interreligious and ecumenical roles in Southern Africa. He is the founder and executive director of the EFSA Institute for Theological and Interdisciplinary Research, a network of universities and churches that acts as secretariat to the National Religious Association for Social Development (NRASD) and the Cape Development and Dialogue Centre Trust (led by Bishop Dr. Sithembele Sipuka). Koegelenberg works to build cooperation between churches, religious institutions, the state, and other institutions to support holistic and sustainable community development initiatives, particularly around the health of poor communities. His Ph.D. in theology is from Ruprechts-Kars-University of Heidelberg, Germany. He was awarded the Lambeth Cross for Ecumenism by Archbishop of Canterbury Justin Welby.

Katherine Marshall, a senior fellow at Georgetown University’s Berkley Center for Religion, Peace, and World Affairs, leads the center’s work on religion and global development. She is also a professor of the practice of development, conflict, and religion in the Walsh School of Foreign Service, teaching diverse courses on the ethics of development work and mentoring students at many levels. She helped to create and now serves as the executive director of the World Faiths Development Dialogue, an NGO that works to enhance bridges between different sectors and institutions. In September 2022, she was appointed as a member of the Advisory Committee on Voluntary Foreign Aid at the U.S. Agency for International Development. Marshall has five decades of experience on a variety of development issues in Africa, Latin America, East Asia, and the Middle East, particularly those facing the world’s poorest countries. She was a World Bank officer from 1971 to 2006, and she led the World Bank’s faith and ethics initiative between 2000 and 2006. Marshall is a member of the Working Group on Child Rights and Family Values and the Working Group on Displaced Persons and Hospitality to the Stranger, both part of the Culture of Encounter Project.

Pamela D. Price serves as the deputy director for The Balm In Gilead where she manages and oversees the multi-faceted health initiatives of the organization, whose mission is to prevent diseases and to improve the health status of black people living in the United States and Africa.
