Anniversaries of Historical Events:

In August, there were a number of significant anniversaries of events in religious history. These included George Washington's letter to Touro Synagogue (1790), Nat Turner's rebellion (1831), a mob rioting against the Ursuline Convent of Catholic nuns (1834), the founding of the Church of God (Cleveland, TN) (1886), and Addie E. Davis becoming the first ordained Southern Baptist woman (1964).

In addition to reading about these single events, you can delve into substantially more religious history by viewing any of our nine interactive timelines.
Feature of the Month:
Teaching tools

As the new school year begins, we would like to highlight the numerous teaching resources we have available. These include college modules, lesson plans, sample syllabi, assignments, religion quizzes, instructional data sets, and plenty more.

Additional Updates:
MARC files

Since our last update, we have added new MARC files for 44 data sets! These files are downloadable records for use in library catalogs. This adds to our library of over 1,000 MARC files for data sets, teaching modules, and other resource files.
