Baku. Anakhanum Hidayatova – APA. “For us, the main thing is the delivery of gas to Europe. It is not so important whether it will be realized through TAP or Nabucco,” said German ambassador to Azerbaijan Herbert Quelle at the press conference, APA reports.
The ambassador stressed the importance of enhancing economic relations between Azerbaijan and Germany and mentioning the opening of Azerbaijani-German Chamber of Commerce, stated that it is one of the largest chambers of commerce in CIS countries.
“As you know, high-level bilateral working group between the two countries in economic sphere has already been set up and the next meeting of this group will be held in Germany, July. The political consultations between Germany and Azerbaijan are going on successfully,” – the diplomat noted.
Quelle thanked the government of Azerbaijan for the reconstruction works in a German school in Goychay region. He also underlined that the talks are underway to improve use conditions of German Culture House – Kapelhause.
Noting that the religious tolerance in Azerbaijan is praiseworthy, the diplomat said the Azerbaijani side has allowed praying at German church “Kirche” in Baku.
