EVENT | Registration now open for the 2nd Catholic Youth Convention on the Future of Europe

COMECE and the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung (KAS) invite you to participate in the 2nd edition of the Catholic Youth Convention on the Future of Europe, to be held on Thursday 2 and Wednesday 15 June 2022 on the theme “Sharing our dreams on the future of Europe”. Registration now open

The event is organised in the context of the 2022 “European Year of Youth” and at the conclusion of the plenary of the Conference on the Future of Europe. Participants will be able to enter into dialogue with EU policymakers from the EU institutions on the following 3 topics (see the draft programmes: 2 June | 15 June):

  • The Future of Christian Democracy (2 June, 16:30-17:30 CEST) – including welcoming remarks by H.Em. Cardinal Jean-Claude Hollerich SJ, President of COMECE;
  • Working groups on Democracy & Participation, Education & Youth, Social & Environmental Issues (2 June, 17:35-18:30 CEST) – including a Dialogue with Representatives of the Plenary of the Conference on the Future of Europe;
  • Youth and South-East Europe (15 June, 13:45-15:00 CEST) – including a dialogue with EU Commissioner for Neighbourhood and Enlargement, Olivér Várhelyi.

Participants will include young people delegated by the EU Bishops’ Conferences and young people from the network of the COMECE Youth Platform. This event is also open to all people who are interested to hear the voice of young people regarding the Future of Europe. Young people from all around Europe are strongly encouraged to participate.

The event will take place online, via Zoom. Registration for the 2nd Catholic Youth Convention on the Future of Europe is now open.
