Enemies Seek Disintegration of Muslim Countries, Iran’s FM Says

TEHRAN (IQNA) – Iran’s Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian said the enemies of the Islamic world are after the disintegration of Muslim countries.

He made the remark in a gathering of members of the Ahl-ul-Bayt (AS) World Assembly’s general assembly and guests from 118 countries, held in Tehran on Thursday.

Amir Abdollahian referred to enemies’ attempts to foment discord among Muslims and presenting a distorted image of Islam, stressing the need for unity in the Muslims world and concerted efforts to introduce true Islam to the world.

He also called for promoting Islam’s peace and justice and revealing the fake and contradictory dimensions of the Western human rights.

Elsewhere in his remarks, Amir Abdollahian highlighted the approach and discourse of the Islamic Republic of Iran’s foreign policy, which is based on dignity, independence and love for peace and continuation of the path of political independence and national dignity.

He also elaborated on the opportunities and challenges facing the Muslim world as well as the viewpoints of Iran about the situation in Yemen, Syria, Bahrain, Libya, Afghanistan, Lebanon and Ukraine.
