Kroger Settles Religious Bias Suit Over ‘Promise’ Logo on Aprons

Kroger Limited Partnership I will pay $180,000 to end an EEOC lawsuit alleging two workers’ requests for religious accommodations from being required to wear an apron with a multicolored symbol they believed showed LGBTQ support were illegally denied.

The company’s Delta division will also create a policy that contains information about the process and method for requesting religious accommodation, according to a consent decree approved Wednesday by the US District Court for the Eastern District of Arkansas.
