Speaker Bios:

Danielle Allen is the James Bryant Conant University Professor at Harvard University where she also directs the Safra Center for Ethics. Her work focuses on political philosophy, ethics, and public policy. Professor Allen, a former Marshall Scholar and MacArthur Foundation Fellow, has chaired the Pulitzer Prize board and the Mellon Foundation Board. She is a distinguished author and columnist.

William B. Allen is Professor Emeritus of Political Science at Michigan State University where he taught political philosophy, American government, and jurisprudence. A nationally recognized expert on George Washington and the American Founding, Professor Allen has served on numerous boards and commissions including the National Council on the Humanities and as chairman of the U.S. Commission on Civil Rights.
