Klitschko supports petition against the UOC-MP's land rights

This information was stated in response to the petition, as reported by Espreso.

"In the context of the full-scale invasion by the Russian Federation and the ongoing large-scale armed aggression on the territory of Ukraine, as well as the current social demand, I support electronic petition No. 11929 'Revoke the right to permanent use of land plots where religious structures of the Moscow Patriarchate (UOC-MP, ROC, etc.) are located'," stated the mayor's statement.

It is noted that work is currently underway to inventory land plots leased or used by religious organizations that promote or deny the fact of Russian military aggression. According to the mayor, the city council is considering a decision to deny land allocation to such organizations.

Klitschko emphasized the need for the adoption of a law prohibiting the activities of religious organizations whose headquarters are located outside of Ukraine, in a state that has carried out military aggression against Ukraine and/or temporarily occupied part of our territory.

According to him, this would facilitate the process of revoking the UOC-MP's land plots in the capital city at the legislative level, but currently, the relevant acts have not been adopted by the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine or the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine.
