Shriners Hospital Beats Worker Covid Vaccine Religious Bias Case

Shriners Hospitals for Children is free of allegations that it discriminated against a Christian worker who lost his job for refusing to get vaccinated against Covid-19, a federal judge said.

The ex-maintenance technician and locksmith’s complaint lacked sufficient factual allegations as to how his religious beliefs conflicted with his former employer’s vaccine requirement, the US District Court for the District of Oregon said Tuesday. There’s no point to amending the complaint because his stated objection to the vaccine was secular, the opinion added.
