Rabbi Ephraim Mirvis is installed as UK chief rabbi

The new chief rabbi of the UK and Commonwealth has been installed at a ceremony in London.

Rabbi Ephraim Mirvis succeeds Lord Jonathan Sacks who has held the post since 1991, and has said that reversing falling membership is a key challenge.

During the ceremony Rabbi Mirvis congratulated Prince Charles on the birth of his first grandchild.
