Pussy Riot member Yekaterina Samutsevich freed

One of the members of the punk group Pussy Riot walked free from prison today after an appeal court in Russia unexpectedly suspended her sentence.

Yekaterina Samutsevich's two bandmates were unsuccessful and sent back to prison to serve the remainder of their two-year sentence.

The three were jailed in August for a demonstration against Russian President Vladimir Putin in Moscow's main cathedral.
